The kite Spot of Punta Trettu in the South of Sardinia
I went to Punta Trettu Sardinia last summer with all my family (all of us are now kitesurfing) and we were amazed about this the Punta Trettu Kite Beach: Flat and shallow water, and incredible wind statistics with steady wind almost every day. The spot has a high exposure to the winds and you can kitesurf with the mistral, the sirocco and other winds. The thermal wind works very well during the spring and the summer: you should always consider 5 or 8 knots more as stated by windguru.
The Kite spot of Punta Trettu is perfect for all levels, the water is flat everywhere and you can find a space with hundred meters of mirror-flat water even with a very strong wind. Beginners can learn without the pressure to have to swim against the waves. The advanced riders can practice their jumps and do tricks since the waves are not existing.
I recommend to wear rubber shoes because can be found big shells on the sandy backdrop of the spot
Punta Trettu Kitesurf Paradise, that is what I can say!. And I think there are not other places like this place in Europe.
Our Kitesurfing experience in Punta Trettu
All was perfect there in Punta Trettu! We always had good wind and sunny days in Punta Trettu. Kitesurfing with those weather conditions was fantastic and lovely.
My doughter started a beginner kite course and after few days she started to glide on the water. For sure the conditions of the kite spot helped a lot but the instructors were always very good, nice and professional.
My son, as his is very young, leaned some kite piloting.
My wife an i alterate in our kitesurfing sessions… they were amazing!
The Kite School in Punta Trettu
In Punta Trettu we got the services from the Punta Trettu Kite Center Sardinia , the Kite Center of KiteGeneration in Punta Trettu. The instructors were simply amazing, knowledgeable, concerned with safety, and they were really patient and nice.
The team of the Punta Trettu Kite Center Sardinia was very nice, funny and friendly. We felt like in a community and not in a business, and that was very important for us!
The material of the kite school was new, in perfect conditions (that is very important to ensure the safety while kitesurfingand learning to Kitesurf).
At the Kite Center there is a Lounge bar and Cafè where you can relax and wait for the wind, grab a snack, a coffee or a beer, and know and meet other people. There are outdoor showers, toilets, and internet wi-fi. Some rooms are also available at the Punta Trettu Kitesurf House for people that like to stay directly in Punta Trettu.
From the Kite Center, you can walk to the kite spot in 5 minutes (be aware that is not allowed to kite everywhere: check this maps).
Here we have found an high quality ratio and the rates were cheaper than in all the other Countries we went previously.

If you are reading this post, probably you are going to Punta Trettu in Sardinia … and I am a bit envious 🙂 We will definitely go back soon in this fantastic Kite Paradise!
